Lent Challenge Day 36

Day 36: This is to go along with yesterday's post.

"Strength comes not from frantic activity but from being settled on a firm foundation of truth and light. It comes from paying attention to the divine things that matter most." - Elder Uchtdorf #LentChallenge2014#40daysoftruth #almostthere

Moments That Matter Most

Day 36: I don't have much of my own words to say today. Except that the following video is chuck full of truths that I have listened to and pondered on over the last few years.

Day 36: "Be still and know that I am God."

This phrase is repeated a few times in scripture. It is the theme for my life. This is the lesson God keeps teaching me over and over. Stillness is required for revelation.

Our world values:
Action
Noise
Busyness
Distraction

God requires:
Faith enough to wait
Quiet enough to listen to Him
Faith enough to trust that God will do His part, we don't have to do it all.
Focus on Him, an eye single to His glory.

This is all stillness. Stillness is stopping in faith. We focus so much on acting in faith, that sometimes we forget that stillness is a requirement too. Stillness takes the focus off of us and what we do, and turns our focus onto God.

I know when I am still, God has revealed to me that He truly is God and all things are in His control. Be still and know that He is God.
