Lent Challenge Day 34

Day 34: Yea, and as often as my people repent will I forgive their trespasses against me." Mosiah 26:30
The Savior Wants to Forgive
The Lord wants us to understand His willingness to forgive us. Hear a man's true story of addiction and arrests, and how he was able to repent and receive fo...

Day 34: There is a phrase often said among the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint.

"Endure to the end"

It is quoted in several scriptures.

Endure to the end. Don't quit. Keep pressing forward when you don't feel like you can give anymore. Endure.

Not that this little challenge that I have given myself is super hard, and in need of true endurance, but I'm getting to the point where I'm wondering if I have anything else to say. ( in actuality I could declare my love for this gospel daily and continually, but that's not really my personality, which is why I gave myself this challenge. I hate feeling like I'm imposing.)

I wasn't going to post today, but when my head hit the pillow (yes, I realize it's not quite 10:00 yet), this phrase popped into my head. Then I saw a message from Jenny Barrow, "we're almost done!" So, here I am.

Endure to the end!

In all that you do, do your best and don't give up or give in. The Lord knows our capabilities and will allow us to be stretched until we feel like we can't stretch any further and then push us some more. That is how we build faith, not only in Him, but in us also.

I set out 34 days ago to share my deep and unfailing testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 40 days. It has been an experience where I have learned a lot about myself. I hope something I have said has touched your hearts too. But if not, I have increased my own knowledge and surety in my testimony.

Sorry, you're stuck with me for a few more days.

Endure to the end.

Day 34: If you want to discover truth and have truth revealed, you have to do some work. Revelation takes work.

The work for receiving revelation is not a busy, frantic work, it is more of a steady, sure, and sometimes still work.

Revelation comes through the work of :
-Heartfelt prayer
-Quite pondering
-Searching the scriptures
-Meaningful fasting
-Listening and promptly responding to the promptings of the Holy Spirit
-Serving others
-Living in such a way so you do not offend the Spirit

It took me a while to really respect these actions as "work", but I have found that doing the work listed above produces the fruits of revelation.
