Day 12: God loves us. Do you ever feel it? I'd like to hear about times when you feel His love. Tonight I felt it as I prayed with my husband. This life is hard. As I listed the many things I was grateful for and then the many things we needed for both our own little family and the needs of our extended relatives and friends- I felt His love for us. We are so blessed and yet He is always there to give us more be it comfort or guidance. What a wonderful and caring Father we have. #40daysoftruth #LentChallenge2014

Day 12: guest post...sort of...you would think Sunday would allow much time for pondering on what I should write about. Nope, it's often my busiest day of the week and today was even much slower than usual.
On that note, I asked James Bradley what his favorite Mormon Message was and without hesitation it was this: http://youtu.be/JnkwLCGuZ24
May you always have a secure anchor. Ann #40daysoftruth#LentChallenge2014 (p.s. I always forget these hashtags which is why almost every single one of my posts states "edited." But the need to be there so it's easy to follow Jenny Barrow and Kelley Barrow Miles on their journey too.)

Day 12: We are the literal spirit children of God.
God the Father, our Heavenly Father, is the literal father of our spirits. We are literally children of God.
Jesus Christ, a god in his own right, is the only human to have God be the father of his body. But spiritually we, along with Christ, are all children of God.
I know this truth sets me apart from most of Christianity. I believe in Christ, and I fully accept Him as my Savior. In this way I am no different.
But, I also have chosen to accept my divine inheritance that comes with being a child of God. I have the spiritual genetic making to someday, through God's grace, to become divine.
And this is true for every single person living on the planet, and every person who has ever lived on the planet.
I love this truth. It affects my interactions with others, it is hard to hate or dislike a person when you choose to see people as divine offspring, and your actual siblings.
It affects my attitude towards family and the role family plays in my life, and my eternal divine nature. I look at the role of Father and Mother much differently when I consider it is a role also held by God.
It affects how I approach my Father in Heaven in prayer. I am speaking to my father, who loves me perfectly. And it affects my attitude towards following His commandments. I do not fear my Heavenly Father, I love Him and honor him with my obedience.
We are all children of a Heavenly Father who loves us perfectly and without condition. We are His children. We lived with him before we came to earth, and we will see him again. He weeps over us, He is joyful with us, He is our Father.
I am a Child of God. And so are you:) I know that is true.
